Sponsor our Executive Team who are running for Afrika Tikkun in the 2013 Sydney Running Festival.
Afrika Tikkun do amazing work in disadvantaged communities in Hillbrow Johannesberg, South Africa. These programs create a future for young people and the community by providing education, childcare and job skills training. These types of programs focus on creating self sustaining communities and increases the living standards for everyone.
Mark Scully and Jo Cairns have put it all on the line, signing up for the grueling 21km half marathon. They will be supported by Nigel Woolley with his admirable 9km effort. Allison Smart is showing her support by participating in the 4km Bridge Walk and Nick Mann has decided that the best way to support his team is to “show us the money” and donate.
Who dares to put some cash behind supporting Afrika Tikkun to cheer them on in their athletic pursuit? Some might argue that they would do it anyway, others would argue it’s the least we can do when they are doing all that hard work and preparation!

Afrika Tikkun (Global Development Group - J586)
One of only 4 organisations that Nelson Mandela awarded his partronage to - and the only one in Australia - Afrika Tikkun is dedicated to assisting children affected by extreme poverty in South Africa's townships, survive and thrive.
Afrika Tikkun is a non-government organisation (NGO) that was founded in 1994 to offer resources, training and support to children and their families in South Africa’s poorest communities. Support is particularly focused on orphaned and vulnerable children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Afrika Tikkun's work centres on sustainable community development, including the provision of food and school fees; care, education and training in specially built community centres and outreach facilities - as well as caring for the very sick in their homes.
