Laurentia's first ever Half Marathon
Story
Hi all,
I'll be attempting my first ever half marathon as part of the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2013. I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps.
It will combine my passion for fitness with my passion for the great organisation that I work for called Inala. My challenge will be to run the race (maybe even beat Rowan haha) and also to raise money and awareness about Inala.
Inala is an amazing organisation, and before I started here, had no idea how much time effort and money goes into the all the great services (residential, employment and day service) that are available for individuals living with disabilities. Having had the privilege of meeting the clients has allowed me to see how the programs help and has motivated me to raise even more money to support the cause.
I am honoured to be part of such a wonderful family of staff and supporters and am proud to be helping a great cause.
I’d really appreciate any assistance you can offer no matter how big or small.
